At the Australian International Academy (AIA), we believe that every student should have the opportunity to succeed—regardless of financial background. Our scholarship program is designed to reward excellence in academic performance, Islamic commitment, and leadership in service, while supporting families who share our values and vision.

Types of Scholarships

Academic

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Awarded to high-performing students entering Years 7–11. Selection is based on:

  • Performance in the nationally recognised ACER Scholarship Test
  • Review of school reports and academic history
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and excellence

Qur’an

Qur’an Kareem Memorisation & Tajweed Scholarships

For students who demonstrate outstanding Qur’an memorisation and correct Tajweed. Open to students from Kindergarten to Year 11, with requirements based on year level:

  • Kindy–Year 2: 1 Juzʾ
  • Year 3–6: 2 Juzʾ
  • Year 7–8: 3 Juzʾ
  • Year 9–10: 4 Juzʾ
  • Year 11: 6 Juzʾ (including at least 1 new Juzʾ from previous years)

A $150 non-refundable fee is required at time of application

Academic applicants sit the ACER test

Qur’an applicants are assessed by Islamic Studies staff

Scholarship decisions are reviewed by the Principal. Results are confidential and final.

Scholarship applications, assessments and outcomes are subject to AIA’s Scholarship Policy

Who Can Apply?
  • New and currently enrolled students
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • Students may apply for both scholarships, but only one will be awarded
Key Dates
  • Applications Open: Term 3
  • Testing & Interviews: Term 4
  • Offers Announced: Before Term 1 of the new school year
